The Jacksonville Young Republicans are the premiere youth organization in the First Coast area for both political and community involvement. With our membership ranging between the ages of 18 and 40, we provide a resource for our generation to engage themselves politically and get involved in our community through various charitable work.

The Jacksonville Young Republican Club is the largest chartered club of the Florida Federation of Young Republicans (FFYR) and is located in Jacksonville, Fla.  The club assists local, state and national Republican campaigns and works to improve the Jacksonville community through service projects and political awareness.

Young Republicans take part in GOP activities in their communities, doing everything from voter registration drives, to phone bank operations, to being campaign managers and running for public office themselves. They provide crucial support to the Republican party, and work to ensure the future of the party in their communities and nationwide.

Through the YR’s, they can develop their political knowledge and understanding of the issues of the day, and as citizens become more effective voters and campaign workers. By participating in the local Club, they may assist in selecting candidates for public office and then may elect those candidates by actively helping them in their campaigns.

Anyone between the ages of 18 and 40 is eligible to be a Young Republican. The best way to organize is on the local level, because the foundation of the Young Republicans is built from the grassroots level on up.

YR’s provides a unique opportunity for an interested young Republican to meet with the decision makers in society and to meet like-minded individuals in their own community and across the nation.

In our inaugural year, the JYR’s were given awards by both the state and national YR organizations. We were named the “2010 Club of the Year” by the Florida Federation of Young Republicans and the “2010 Large Club of the Year” by Young Republican National Federation. In addition, we were given the award “2010 Charitable Event of the Year” for our dedication to cancer research and our President, Peret Pass, was named the “2010 Woman of the Year”.
